Not too long ago I was a scrawny kid with no self-esteem who loved Harry Potter and ran cross country and track nine months a year.
Fast forward a few years and I’m a built full-time personal trainer – and still a massive fan of Hogwarts, of course!
How did I get here? Magic?
Not exactly.
I always wanted to be a doctor so – in order to pay for my tuition fees – I trained as a US Army Combat Medic. The military training made me want to get stronger and become a leader, so I began strength training in my spare time – and I quickly developed a passion for it.
But my Drill Sargent told me...
“If you want to be a leader, you have to be the best because you have to lead by example. That means you must be the best at push-ups, sit-ups, and the run.”
This motivated me to learn everything I could about building muscle and improving overall performance and strength.
I achieved a perfect score of 300 for the US Army physical fitness readiness test and people noticed that I had gained a lot of muscle and looked healthy.
They asked me questions like, how do you build muscle? How do I lose weight?
I didn’t know the answers, but I knew I wanted to help. So, I researched, with military discipline, everything about nutrition and fitness; for at least two hours a day.
I quit my job and became a certified personal trainer...
After a short stint working in a hospital upon completing my Applied Sciences degree, I realized that I was more cut out to be a personal trainer; I found helping people through health and fitness to be much more satisfying.
I love pushing the boundaries of my own capabilities and helping others do the same. The human body is a piece of art, a painting that you never finish; always perfecting it.
I instill my clients with the passion and motivation to keep improving themselves – to set the bar higher – but to also enjoy hard-earned achievements.
As an online trainer, I want to change as many lives as possible through the power of fitness.
