There are certain foods that aren’t allowed on a keto diet. If you’ve read my previous blog posts, you might be aware that the keto dietis 70% fat, 25% protein, and 5% percent carbs. One challenge thatmost people face is that the restrictions on this diet make it tough to do. Well, I’m going to be sharing the foods you can consume on a keto diet in order to make the most of it!

Brief Background on the Keto Diet

The ketogenic diet is a one aimed at putting a person in a state known as “ketosis,” by lowering the person’s carb consumptionbelow 50 calories daily. It has been discovered even more effective to keep the carb intake below 30 calories daily. When your body is short on carbs for a protracted period of time (3-4 days), it will enter into the state called ketosis, one of the most powerful physical states a person can be in.

Whatever your goals may be – to get stronger, faster, or lose lots of fat – you stand to gain from this diet, because, you begin to run off ketone bodies, which can produce far more energy than any glucose or sugar molecule. Your body becomes a fat-burning machine! You become a lot more active in the gym, and you have so much more energy. It’s simply amazing! The keto diet is most likely just what you need to help you achieve your fitness goals.
